I am happy to report that MyChores is finally back on track and working as it should. The emails are going out and the OpenID functionality has been restored. Actually, there was a bit of code tweaking to be done to be compatible with a newer version of the ruby-openid gem so i’m glad that’s [...]

The email issue has been sorted and emails are coming through now. We have an idea of a fix for the OpenID issue, which i will try this evening.
Many thanks for your patience.

I am very sorry about this. HostingRails are working on it, but they are not providing the helpful service that i had come to trust. I guess they are fixing a lot of problems for a lot of people after the restore. We will have to be patient a little longer.

Emails are not being sent correctly and OpenID is not working.
Unfortunately they are quite major things, i realise. I have asked HostingRails to look into it. Very sorry for the inconvenience, especially to our OpenID users who will be unable to log in just now.

The wonderful people at HostingRails have set up a Sender Policy Framework for us. This means that mail from MyChores can only come from one particular server. If it does not, then it is somebody else spoofing our email address, and most email clients should simply reject it.
I am hoping this will stop the despicable [...]

It has come to my attention that some low-life piece of scum is sending out spam emails making them look as if they came from MyChores. These emails absolutely categorically did not come from MyChores. I am disgusted at the motives of whoever is doing this - doing their dirty work under cover and tarnishing [...]

The Yahoo block has prompted me to make some important changes to MyChores and emails.
For a long time i have required email addresses to be verified before MyChores sent any emails. Once verified, however, i assumed that everyone wants daily emails. As from tonight, new people will be able to specify exactly what they want [...]

We are having some problem delivering emails, particularly to Yahoo addresses this time. I am in contact with Yahoo to get this resolved as soon as possible.
Apologies for any inconvenience in the meantime.

With immense gratitude to the guys at Hosting Rails … i don’t know what they did but it looks as if Hotmail is accepting MyChores emails again. Please let me know if you are still not getting your email.
Following on from this, i am going to make it easier to unsubscribe from receiving MyChores emails. [...]

As of today Hotmail seems to have decided to consider emails from MyChores as spam. Adding to your safe senders list apparently doesn’t work anymore.
I will try my best to find a way to resolve this issue. In the meantime Hotmail users may wish to use a different email address from a different provider.
