Yesterday castlequeen joined MyChores and became our 1000th member!
I feel honoured and blessed that so many people around the world have decided that MyChores is a service they can use and enjoy. Thank you to all of you … all 1000 of you who have joined. :)

I am happy to report that MyChores is finally back on track and working as it should. The emails are going out and the OpenID functionality has been restored. Actually, there was a bit of code tweaking to be done to be compatible with a newer version of the ruby-openid gem so i’m glad that’s [...]

The email issue has been sorted and emails are coming through now. We have an idea of a fix for the OpenID issue, which i will try this evening.

I am very sorry about this. HostingRails are working on it, but they are not providing the helpful service that i had come to trust. I guess they are fixing a lot of problems for a lot of people after the restore. We will have to be patient a little longer.

Emails are not being sent correctly and OpenID is not working.
Unfortunately they are quite major things, i realise. I have asked HostingRails to look into it. Very sorry for the inconvenience, especially to our OpenID users who will be unable to log in just now.

I am so sorry for the downtime that has been ongoing for more than 24 hours. Whilst this journal is recovered, the actual MyChores site is not yet back. I feel awful about this; i know there are people who rely on MyChores on a daily basis. All i can do is apologise.

Sorry there haven’t been many MyChores updates for a while. The good news is, my computer is now back up and working. I am keen to get some updates finished and released soon, but i’m afraid i got lost deep within Second Life this weekend!! (The joys of having a good graphics card, heh!)

Followers of my personal journal will know that i have been having computer troubles. I think the power supply unit died following a series of little power cuts that we had last weekend.
