Colourful emails
From tomorrow those of you who receive HTML format emails should notice a change in layout - it now uses a table layout to line things up more nicely. It also includes the due date of each task. Thanks to a suggestion from Nat you can also opt to have your email coloured with Red/Amber/Green so that it looks more like your workload list on the site. I don’t know if all email clients support the CSS needed to colour the table row but Hotmail and Yahoo both do.
Go to email settings if you want to receive colourful emails.
I was going to make the email look completely like the workload view, but then i remembered some people like descriptions with their emails. I don’t really want to lose that option. So it’s a sort of in-between.
If you receive plain-text emails nothing has changed.
Another related change is to do with team colour-coding. If you manage a lot of teams you may know that you can assign a different colour to each team and it follows through to the tasks in that team. It’s an easy way to see which tasks belong to which teams. This colour-coding now also comes through to emails (again, HTML format and only if your email client supports it) and also the calendar and hot map views.
Please let me know if you see any problems with any of these changes! :)
