Other small changes today
In addition to tips, there are two little changes:
If your browser supports the hover menus, you will now see ‘Delete task’ as an option when you hover over a task. The popup “Are you sure?” will still appear, and it will tell you the name of the task, just so as you can be completely sure of what you are doing. This is thanks to a suggestion from Nye who wanted it to be easier to delete tasks.
Secondly, the access key in the menu bar now appears underlined. The access key has been available ever since we moved to the new site layout, but i only just got around to showing it as underlined. You use it with your Alt key, for example, Alt+H always takes you to your home page. I’m not sure whether all browsers support access keys properly. Firefox is fine, but i’ve found IE seems to prefer to show you its own menus.
Update: I’ve just found out that Firefox under Windows requires you to press SHIFT+ALT plus the access key. I think this is entirely ridiculous - I thought the point of access keys was to make things easier for mobility impaired people!! I have yet to find out how Internet Explorer handles access keys. Apparently Opera has the best access key support.
