MyChores Makeover
I’ve been working on this for a few weeks, but Harry Potter proved to be rather distracting! ;)
Tonight i have released the new-look MyChores, which is hopefully cleaner, more attractive, easier to navigate, and also lends itself more easily to new themes.
The four existing themes have been upgraded to match the new design, so it should look somewhat similar to what you were used to. In addition there are four exciting new themes:

They are named Hill (the new default theme), Emerald, Ripples and Island.
Benefits of the new designs:
- They will scale properly to fit your screen (and should work on all browsers),
- The slow loading in Internet Explorer should be fixed,
- Almost everything you need will be just one click away,
- The menu bar on each page offers the options you’re most likely to need,
- Most links have underlines to signify that they are links,
- Links will go a slightly darker colour when visited,
- Themes are fully scalable if you wish to increase or decrease the font size.
The difficult thing might be remembering to find the menu options on the right instead of the left. It should be possible to create a few themes with the menu options on the left, if that is required.
I also place advertisements in a more prominent place. If you find them annoying, you might want to consider becoming a site supporter which gives you a few extra features, including the option to turn off advertisements.
Should anyone wish to make a theme of your own to contribute, you should find it fairly easy to adapt the CSS.
If you find any errors with the new design, or if things don’t work the way you would like them to, please let me know and i will do my best to fix it.
Thanks and credit go to Free CSS Templates for their beautiful Emerald template which inspired these new designs.
