Pretty URLs and no more tallys
I decided to make use of Ruby on Rails’ easy peasy URL rewriting.
To link to a person (take MazzaRC for example) it now works like http://www.mychores.co.uk/person/MazzaRC.
The old method http://www.mychores.co.uk/people/show/19 still works, but the links should have been updated everywhere on the site to the new ‘pretty’ URLs.
Oh yes, one other change i made was to remove the tallys from the front page. They were an amusing gimmick to begin with, but they started to annoy me rather quickly! It still says how many tasks have been completed today and yesterday … but does so in a less childish manner! ;)
