More options for scheduling

Wow, two updates in two days! I’m on a roll! Tonight’s update is really important – one that i’ve been wanting to do for a long time.

Let me explain the background. Previously, if you wanted something to happen every 4 weeks you’d have to specify a day of the week, so it would be like ‘Every 4 Mondays’. Similarly, if you wanted every 3 months you’d have to give a date in the month, eg ’17th day of every 3 months’. Sometimes this makes sense, but a lot of the time i found it doesn’t.

It doesn’t have to be this way any longer! For weekly tasks you can click ‘day of week not important’ and for monthly tasks there is ‘date not important’.

Basically if it’s not important to you, then it’ll stick with the day of the week that you last did the task, and jump forward 4 weeks from there. Or it’ll keep the date of the month and jump forward. Except … if you do something on the 30th November it won’t jump forward three months to the 30th February (because there isn’t a 30th February) but it’ll go to the 28th February instead. :)

Hopefully these new options will make creating schedules much easier from now on.
