Small news
So all the Early Adopter accounts are now taken! We had an exciting day yesterday, with 10 new people signing up! We also had 32 tasks completed yesterday, and 39 on Friday – which was a record so far! I smile to myself, thinking, “The world is slightly cleaner!” heheh!
I put a count on the welcome page, showing how many tasks completed each day. I made it like a tally – which is just a gimmick really – but i like the idea that you can tick off a task and go to the front page and see another notch on the tally and think, “I did that!” To see what i mean, go to www.mychores.co.uk/home/welcome.
This morning i had a mini-brainwave: when you create a task, currently if it’s a weekly task you have to specify the day of the week, and if it’s a monthly task you have to specify the day of the month. Sometimes you want that (like i always take meter readings on the 1st of the month, for example) but sometimes you’d just want it to jump forward a month from the day you ticked it off. I think i’ve thought of a way i can implement this, and it might not be so tricky as i thought.
However, i think i need a little break from MyChores programming, and i’m away next weekend, so it will be a while before you see this appearing on the site. Just a heads up so you know it’s coming. Also on my to-do list is enhanced customisation of the site. That’s going to give some exciting new options!
