Invitations to join a team
Prompted by Aster i have made it easier for people to be invited into teams.
This is how it works:
You go to your team. Under the list of current members of the team you get “Invite someone to join this team”. Clicking it gives you a screen to enter an email address and a message. A default message is suggested; all you have to do is enter the email address.
The email address is checked to see if that person has already signed up. If so, it invites them in the usual way. If not, it sends them your email and adds their email address onto a ‘watch’ list. This means that when they sign up, their email address is checked against the list, and if there is a match, it automatically makes them a member of the team.
I wrote it in quite a hurry so it’s possible i have overlooked a few things. As always, please let me know if you encounter any problems.
