Search Engines
I have changed the welcome page a bit to make it friendlier to search engines, and to new people arriving at the site. I have used SelfPromotion.com to submit to a whole load of search engines, some of which have happened immediately, i am pleased to see!
I’ve also tidied up the pages a bit – the order in which the elements appear (useful for search engines, and if you have CSS stylesheets disabled) – and moved my javascripts into a separate file so that they can be cached and don’t need reloading with each page. Oh yes, and i changed my .pngs to .jpgs on the tour.
I’m not expecting these changes to make any difference to the site – except it might be slightly faster. As always, if you see any problems, please let me know!
