Calendar view and Statistics

Hurrah!! I’ve had a great week, doing little bits of programming in my evenings, and it all came together rather nicely today.

I still need to test on IE and Firefox for Windows, but the chances are high that the new features will go live tonight …

There is a statistics page showing how many overdue, due today, and done today tasks assigned to you … also the same for each of your teams (whether the tasks are assigned to you or not). It gives a nice percentage for measuring progress. You also get to see how many tasks you have done today, in the last 7 days, and in the current month.

Secondly we have a calendar page. Even i didn’t realise how useful this would be until i did it! It’s surprising how showing the data in a different way can make it so much more meaningful. Rather than a colour-coded list, you really get to see what’s due when, and how overdue things are. I’m totally chuffed with it. I haven’t got the drag-and-drop rescheduling to work yet … maybe next week.

The neat thing is, you’ll be able to set either of these two new views as your ‘home’ view – ie the page that comes up when you click ‘Home’. This was inspired by my partner in fact, who thought the calendar view might be more useful than the original workload view. So you can set your favourite in your preferences.

As always there could be problems. I do test thoroughly, but i am hugely grateful to my Early Adopters/Beta Testers for the help you give me. Please let me know if you come across anything that doesn’t work properly.
