Hello all,
I will be away in Berlin for the next 4 days, but i’m sure MyChores will carry on just beautifully without me! ;)
If readers of this journal are going to be at RailsConf Europe, it would be most excellent to meet up! Let me know!

Just a little note to let you know that you can now upload pictures again. Thank you for your patience whilst it was broken.

As of today, i hear that Twitter are no longer delivering text messages to UK mobile numbers (and i think other parts of Europe are being excluded too). This means if you rely on Twitter to deliver your chores each day, i’m afraid that will no longer work, until Twitter draw up a new contract [...]

Apologies for tips not displaying today - it is fixed now.
The problem turned out to be with the will_paginate plugin. I have now changed over to mislav’s will_paginate plugin. For good measure i also updated the acts_as_taggable_on_steroids plugin, so we’re right up to date now! :)

Time zone stuff really confuses me. It doesn’t help that the server is hosted in Central America whilst i’m in England. I’m never quite sure which way to move the offset.

We are now running on Rails 2.1. I am trying a new method which is including Rails within the application, rather than relying on what happens to be running on the server (which is still 2.0.2).
I had to change to a new version of the Globalize plugin (kindly updated by the real Nate Clark) and [...]

I am currently upgrading MyChores to use Rails 2.1. There may be some brief downtime. I’ll post again when the upgrade is complete.
