Search Engines

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

I have changed the welcome page a bit to make it friendlier to search engines, and to new people arriving at the site. I have used SelfPromotion.com to submit to a whole load of search engines, some of which have happened immediately, i am pleased to see!
I’ve also tidied up the pages a bit – [...]

Facility to reset forgotten passwords

Saturday, July 29th, 2006

Today’s little improvement: a ‘Forgotten password’ page. It’s pretty self-explanatory. You click ‘Forgotten password’, enter either your login id or your email address. If it matches then it sends you an email. In that email is a link containing a special unique code. You click the link, the code matches, you’re allowed to change your [...]

A few minor additions

Saturday, July 22nd, 2006

Following on from the statistics page, which shows how many tasks you have completed today / last 7 days / this month, i thought it would be nice to be able to get a list of exactly what those tasks were. So now you can. The links can be found on the statistics page.
Another simple [...]

All up to date!

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

Oh marvellous! The default home view problem just sorted itself out overnight. I guess if i had restarted the web server it would have worked straight away, but anyway, it’s working now, and in user preferences you can set your favourite ‘home’ view out of Workload, Calendar and Statistics.
Any comments/feedback will be greatly valued and [...]

Site update

Saturday, July 15th, 2006

The new calendar and statistics views are up!
Unfortunately, setting the default home view in the preferences didn’t seem to take effect. Most likely i’ve just forgotten to copy a file somewhere, but i’m too tired to figure it out tonight.
In the meantime, enjoy the new views, and i’m certain i’ll find a way to set [...]

Calendar view and Statistics

Saturday, July 15th, 2006

Hurrah!! I’ve had a great week, doing little bits of programming in my evenings, and it all came together rather nicely today.
I still need to test on IE and Firefox for Windows, but the chances are high that the new features will go live tonight …
There is a statistics page showing how many overdue, due [...]

Spam comments

Saturday, July 8th, 2006

I have deleted all the comments, about 400 of them throught the entire journal! Funny, the spam filter was on – i wonder how many more i’d have had without the spam filter enabled!
From now on, you can make comments for 14 days after the post was made, and then comments will be disabled.

Back from holiday!

Saturday, July 8th, 2006

Well i’ve been away on holiday and moved house since i last made any updates to this site. But i’m happy to say i’m getting settled into the new home, and we have the internet back now (hurrah!) so i should be able to get working on the site again!
It seems that this journal has [...]
